Our memerships are currently made up largely of men. While these two just look like trouble, we would love to see more women engage in CrossFit because of the profound benefits it has for them. The deadlift is a great functional exercise. It mimics the motor patterns found in an everyday movement and has the capacity to develop lower limb, hip and low back strength simultaneously, if performed correctly. You will not be permitted to increase the load across sets if you have not shown the capacity to maintain a neutral spine, period.
