WoD: SATURDAY 26-11-11

Team Workout

In 3 teams, complete 2 rounds of:
Max rep box jumps
Max rep monkey bar traverse
12 x 50m KB farmer’s walk (32/24kg)

Each team begins at a different station. The team performing the farmer’s walks are the pace setters with the goal of completing the walks as fast as possible to limit the amount of box jump and monkey bar reps the other two teams accumulate.
The teams rotate station when the team on the farmer’s walks complete the 12 laps. Rotate until each team completes each station twice.
Score is the total amount of box jumps and monkey bar climbs completed by the team.

WoD: WEDNESDAY 21-09-11

The Saturday workout is moving back to 08h00. The suns out earlier and the weather is warmer, so you got no excuses. This Saturday’s class will be another Olympic lifting jam session. Get in to practise your O lifts. With a test week coming up next week, you’re going to need practise under the bar!

Clean + Jerk
2 + 2 x 5

Push press
40% x 5
50% x 5
60% x 5

Finisher: 400m farmer’s walk
As heavy as possible. Perform 7 burpees every time you rest.

WoD: SATURDAY 18-06-11

Today’s workout is not a CrossFit benchmark lady, but the first CrossFit Jozi benchmark lady. This is in honour of Tanya Nespor, and the workout includes two of her biggest goats in her most difficult time domain.

‘Tinz’
Complete as many rounds and reps as you can in 20 minutes of:

• 100m farmer’s walk (24/16kg)
• 1 burpee, 3 burpees, 5 burpees. . . .

*On you first round complete a 100m walk and 1 burpee, on your second round a 100m walk and 3 burpees, on your third round 5 burpees and so on. It is an ascending burpee ladder. You score is the total amount of burpees completed in the time frame. . . . so don’t waste time on that walk :-)

WoD: TUESDAY 24-05-11

WEAR LONG SOCKS AND/OR LONG PANTS TODAY!

A. Practise rope climbs

  • 20 minutes

B. As fast as you can complete 5 rounds of:

  • 100m farmer’s walk (heavy as possible) 
  • 400m run

 

WoD: FRIDAY 06-05-11

As fast as you can complete 5 rounds of:

  • 100m farmer’s walk
  • 30 double unders (90 single skips)
  • 15 push-ups
